Who is Benjamin?
Benjamin has a background in organic chemistry, with past experience as a research scientist, based in Singapore. He developed an interest in computer science, an area which he has no formal training in but is intrigued by what it could do. Admist the digitalisation landscape, he sees this as an opportunity to create synergy between different skill sets.
What is this blog about?
Having embarked on a self-learning journey on the Python programming language since June 2018, Benjamin hopes to use this blog to document the time spent during evenings learning this new skill and also hopes to get advice any readers’ may have regarding this topic. He has since completed the “Data Scientist with Python” Track from DataCamp in November 2019.
Learning the fundamentals of any skill set is important, and Benjamin believes that this motivation to learn is more sustainable if the knowledge gained can be constantly applied to solve problems. As such, this blog focuses on applications of the code in the form of simple programmes.
